MANJIMUP
Once the centre of the district’s forestry industry, is now the gateway to the forest experience. The Warren National Park, 3131 hectares of protected forest, boasts some of the best accessible virgin forest and the tallest Karri trees. The Maidenbush Trail is a great drive through the park and follows the Warren River for much of the time. There are designated camping spots on this trail and some popular trout fishing and marroning spots in season. Canoeing is also a favourite on the Warren River.
The annual Harmony Cherry Festival is a promotion of local produce and a good time. Come in December and get involved.
BRIDGETOWN
Settled in the 1850s, Bridgetown has numerous lovely old farming homesteads nestled in its rolling hills and along the banks of the Blackwood River.

The Blackwood River Chamber Festival, founded in 1997, is a small, high-quality, annual festival of chamber music. Most of the five concerts are held in St Paul’s, a 100 year old Anglican church, which has a marvellous bright acoustic perfect for Chamber Music.
Blues at Bridgetown is the South West’s premier music festival, attracting around 16,000 guests. It delivers a smorgasbord of superb musical talent and performance workshops, supported by a free Street Party on Saturday.
The Festival of Country Gardens enlivens spring and autumn when more than twenty gardens are open to the public. The Festival Guide (available on line and at the Visitors Centre) includes many support events such as wildflower, town garden and ornithological walks.
WALPOLE
Is near the Valley of the Giants in the Walpole Nornalup National Park, home to some of the tallest trees in the world. The world famous Tree Top Walk allows visitors to walk through the canopy of the forest.
The tranquil rivers, inlets and adjoining wilderness areas provide a wide range of activities. These include fishing, canoeing, white-water rafting, bushwalking, power boating and skiing.
